Local Rules

  1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27.1)
    A ball played:
    • over any boundary fence, wall or hedge.
    • onto and over the roadway to the left of the first hole.
    • onto the practice ground left of the 8th and 9th holes.
    • over the roadway beyond the white posts to the left of the 9th green.
    • over the fence at the back and right of the 9th Green
    • to the right of the white stakes on the 16th hole.
    • onto and over the road behind the 18th green.
    • into the grip and the sunken garden adjacent to the 18th green.
  2. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 25.1)
    • all newly sown areas, and ground enclosed by white lines.
    • all temporary greens.
    • all tractor wheel marks.
  3. STONES IN BUNKERS
    Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24.1 applies).
  4. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
    All ditches and water courses either identified by yellow posts or unmarked are water hazards.
  5. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS
    The lake on the right of the 4th fairway, right of the 6th fairway and the lake right of the 16th fairway, are lateral water hazards as defined by red stakes in accordance with rule 26(i)9b).
  6. STAKED TREES AND TREES MARKED WITH A YELLOW BAND
    A staked tree or one marked with a yellow band that interferes with a players swing, the ball must be dropped within one club length of the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole. No penalty (Rule 24.2 applies).
  7. INTEGRAL PARTS OF THE COURSE
    All paths, bridges, hedges, mature trees, walls, fences and buildings within the boundary of the course are deemed to be integral parts of the course. The ball must be played as it lies, or declared unplayable (Rule 28).
  8. Electricity line crossing the 17th hole; If the ball strikes the line, it may be replayed from the original point of stroke, no penalty.
  9. Any other temporary rule to come into force will be displayed on the notice board.
