administration of the Rules of Golf and the running of the Open Championship,
as well as being a private club itself with around 2400 members.

The English Golf Union is the governing body of male amateur golf
in England with more than 1,800 affiliated clubs and 700,000 members.
The
Golf Foundation
The Golf Foundation is responsible for the promotion and development
of junior golf. It provides financial and technical assistance for
the purpose of promoting the game at the grass-roots level.
Midland
Golf Union
The Midland Golf Union was formed to further the interests of Golf
in the Midlands and to encourage and assist the 10 County Unions that
make up the Midland Golf Union.
